This morning as the boys were stuck in the house with the crazy winter weather, Jeremiah decided to do some Mario jumping off the couch. Unfortunately, he said he "forgot to turn in the air." I'm not sure how he was going to "turn in air," but whatever he was going to do it didn't turn out well. He fell on his arm and was complaining about it hurting whenever it moved or was touched.
We called the doctor. They said it was swollen and sent us to an orthopedic doctor for an x-ray. They took some x-rays and said they thought he had a tiny crack at his elbow. He needed a cast. We have to go back next week for another x-ray to make sure it is healing right. If everything goes well, the cast will come off in three weeks.
This is his second broken bone this year. After his collar bone in April (right near his birthday), now his elbow right near Christmas. Wesley may look like his daddy, but Jeremiah got my accident prone nature. The funny thing is that with all my accidents I never broke a bone. Numerous trips to the ER, lots of stitches, but no broken bones. Jeremiah's broke two in one arm before he turns six.
I just hope he survives until his old enough to know that he can't turn in the air, even though he still thinks he can.
Here's some pictures from the doctor.
